From October 29th to January 8th, 2023, the Galleria Palazzo Nicolaci in Noto hosts the group exhibition “Narcissus self-portrait” curated by Paoletta Ruffino and Federico Poletti.

The exhibition incorporates within its exhibition path the works of eighteen international artists who will grapple with the Ovidian myth of Narcissus (from which the exhibition takes its title), through the mirror of art and their own soul, in an unprecedented juxtaposition of portraiture that reflects a myth, one of the most depicted in art, to express archetypal, ideal, enigmatic, androgynous, transgressive, and at times concealed beauty behind dissonant or self-celebratory works, all in an exploration of emotions.

The exhibition, promoted by Altera Domus in collaboration with the Noto Municipality, Department of Culture, will open on Saturday, October 29th at 7:00 PM and will be accessible until January 8, 2023, from Thursday to Sunday, between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM. A digital catalog with QR codes will allow visitors to delve into the knowledge of the artists and their works.
